Technical information
Group View and Group Vision Web are ASP.NET applications developed using Visual Studio 2019. It is 100% managed code. No third-party components are used. Single Sign-On functionality is available, both for the on-premises installation and for the hosted solution.
Client software requirements
Only a Web Browser is required. All standard browsers are supported with the two most recent versions guaranteed to be 100% supported. No plug-ins or third party components are required. Data can be exported to most common file formats. Acrobat Reader is recommended for viewing PDF files. A PDF printer driver is recommended for saving reports in PDF format.
Client hardware requirements
Group View and Group Vision Web run on all devices (PCs, tablets and smartphones). There are no minimum hardware requirements.
Cloud installation
Group View and Group Vision Web are hosted in the cloud. This gives the advantage of having the software installation, security maintenance and upgrade management outsourced. The solution is time- and cost-effective and extremely efficient: updates and maintenance are delivered in a seamless way, without involving your IT department. Additionally, the database can be accessed from any location using your standard web browser.
Multiple measures of security and data privacy have been put in place to ensure your company data is safe and secure at all times. We use the cloud infrastructure of Microsoft Azure (TM), widely recognised for its high reliability and strictest security measures. The datacentres, located within the European Union, conform to strict standards and are ISO-certified.
Group View and Group Vision Web are compatible with SAML 2.0 user authentication technology.
The hosted solution can be based on perpetual licenses or on a pay-as-you-go model (SaaS option).
On-premises installation
For those clients who prefer to have Group View or Group Vision Web behind their own firewall, we propose an on-premises deployment, i.e. an installation on the client’s web server. Single Sign-On authentication is available.
The application and the database can migrated later to the cloud, if desired.
Server requirements
Group View and Group Vision Web require Windows Server 2016 or later. Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or later is required. The free version, SQL Express, also delivers excellent performance with Group Vision Web, so no extra investment is required.
The application database requires 100 MB of disk space. There are no minimum memory requirements as Group Vision Web is extremely fast.
If a Virtual Machine is made available we can take responsibility for the maintenance, updates and back-ups in a seamless way.
